Room 5 students chose their calendar art this year and I have included a picture of their finished products to assist your ordering for this fundraiser.

Measuring Fun

Room 5 have been learning how to measure a range of different objects. We are learning about
- measuring from a baseline
- measuring in non standard units
- measuring in cm and metres

Animation of Innovations

This term we are moving on from Scratch and making some animations. Using our innovations of well-known fairy tales which we have been learning about in writing, we are now bringing our stories to life using claymation and stop motion technology. We have a set made from fridge boxes which Mrs Hollard collected for us, which controls our light sources and helps us to manage the photography.

Yesterday, Mr Power came into our class to help us to tweak our skills using our new Animation app. Integrating technology into our programme in such an authentic way, means we are able to create outcomes we wouldn't otherwise have access to. Watch this space for our finished movies which we are entering into the MADE awards!!!
