We noticed - the plants grown in the dark had smaller or no leaves. They were very light green and they had less roots.
The plants grown in the light had dark green large leaves and had huge amounts of roots.
We learnt about the need for roots, the need for leaves and the need for green! We felt very sorry for the plants growing in the dark!!
We have now decided to move the plants grown in the dark, to the window sill. We have predicted what we think they will look like in a week. Some students think they will turn dark green and grow large leaves. Some students think they will get a shock with the light and not survive. Ask your child what their prediction was. What do you adults think will happen? Comment with your ideas below we would LOVE to hear!!
These pictures are our beans today.

They will grow sunnies!
